TORIE BEGG
British-born artist Torie Begg (1962-2022), was an abstract painter, active from the mid eighties to late 2000s.
Her most celebrated work is the ‘Apparently..’ series of paintings. Monochromatic squares of layered acrylic paint on canvas, ranging in size from 21cm to 350cm square.
Her signature with this series, was the suspended drip to each side, revealing all the layers of pigment which make up the final surface colour. Begg referred to this as the “articulated edge”.
We now have a selection of works available for viewing.
